Trend Alert: Monochromatic grey with a pop of color

According to fashion bloggers, monochromatic grey with a "splash of color" is a huge winter trend.
Grey and yellow is a huge trend in home décor, and it looks fabulous in fashion as well.  I love this combination so much, I thought I would share some fun and different ways you can wear grey and yellow for senior or family pictures.

One note: you will not see yellow as pants, shorts, or a full yellow dress.  The idea is for yellow to be a pop of color against the column of grey.  Please don't wear it on the lower half of your body.  The camera will add many non existent pounds to your lower half - and none of us want that!

So, lets look at some fun outfits....

You could opt just for yellow earrings, but I love having a touch of yellow poking out at the wrists from under the grey turtleneck.

Ok, I have to share another set with grey and yellow.  How fun would this be for a dressier look during your portrait session!  Love love love the grey shoes with a yellow strap.

Special Moments Last Forever!

Turtlenecks are the rage this year.  Why not grab one in yellow and pair it with grey jeans and accessories.

Yellow, Gray and Black

A yellow puffer vest and yellow combat boots would be great with the rest of your outfit in the monochromatic grey.

Yellow and Gray

Love this outfit - grey jeans and sweater with yellow high heel boots and cute flower earrings.  I would not use the pin in pictures, but the earrings are stinkin' cute.

YELLOW AND GRAY

I want to end with this fun idea.  How about a grey sweater dress with grey combat boots and yellow boot socks!  How fun is that?  For pictures I would add a wide belt to the dress and it would be perfection.

Senior Spotlight - Sonali Lovejoy High School Class of 2016

Meet Sonali, a beautiful, outgoing, and spunky senior at Lovejoy High School.  We met on a chilly Saturday morning last month for her session.  We started at the park and finished at the McKinney Cotton Mill.  Sonali came to me with lots of ideas and a desire to just have fun at her session.  It was so much fun incorporating her ideas into our session.  Here are just a few of my favorite images from her session.
