Trend Alert - Combat Boots

So combat boots are the "it" shoe for fall.  I am sure that you are following all of the fashion blogs and deciding how to incorporate these boots into your fall closet.  However, fashion doesn't always translate exactly to senior portraits. 

So...how would these boots work into your senior pictures?  Here are some great outfits that would translate to amazing images.  Don't have these exact pieces?  No problem.  I can help you with that.  At your senior consultation, just show me the set you liked and I will help you put something fabulous together!!!

For a mix of traditional and feminine, this set rocks!  The boots, jacket, and denim keep the traditional vibe, but the lace top is the perfect punch of feminine style.  You could wear this with shorts in warm weather or jeans in cooler weather.

For a BOHO look, this set has it all.  The baby doll dress would look great with the denim jacket.  The combat boots bring it into 2015 fashion with the grey finish rather than the traditional black or brown.

If your style tends to the more classic look, there is still a place for the combat boots for you.  Grab a boot with a heel, pair it with skinny black jeans (yes...you can still wear skinny jeans this fall), and put it with a leather jacket and scarf.  If the animal print is a little too over the top for you, any scarf would be fine.  You can grab a skinny scarf and use it in place of your statement jewelry.  For ideas on skinny scarves, click here)

Can I tell you how much I love this outfit.  Eeek!  The boots really bring some "oomph" to the retro style dress.  It is almost like the 1960's collided with the 1980's grunge style.  Wow!  This would look amazing!

So if you are really daring in your style - think about putting a lacy or semi formal dress with a military style jacket and combat boots.  This would work for senior pictures because even though it is a style mishmash, the solid colors keep it simple.  It would be a fun look for an "out of the box" person.

Combat boots always look great with a flared skirt.  What about trying something different and wearing denim boots?  The pattern in the skirt is small enough that it just looks soft and feminine.  I would love to see something like this with sunglasses and a playful look to your senior pictures.

Fall Family Mini Sessions - Now Booking

We offer family mini sessions on only 2 dates a year.  This is a great time to schedule a session for the family that doesn't have time for a full family session.

This year our 20 minute mini sessions will be held at my favorite hidden park on Sunday, November 1 from 3pm-5pm and at the McKinney Cotton Mill (garden section) on Saturday, November 7 from 9am-12pm.

Be sure to call us and book as soon as you can.  Last year we were completely full!
