Urban Family Session - Downtown McKinney

Well, a very sick child has caused me to get behind once again.  I love being a mom who owns my own business which gives me the ability to stop everything and care for my family when they need me.  However, I can't tell you the frustration I felt when I was laying beside my child in bed for three days - frustrating because he was so sick and also frustrating thinking of how far behind I was getting.  Did I mention we lost power for several hours while he had a 103 degree fever?  Yeah...remind me to always be thankful that I live in 2011 instead of 1811 in Texas.  I don't know how our grandmothers did it.  Anyway, I digress...

I am so thankful for patient families waiting on their pictures.  This was the first of my Urban Family Sessions for the summer.  Such a beautiful family!  Mom was concerned that we didn't get a good full family picture as the youngest one decided she did not like the heat and was totally done by the time the oldest sisters arrived.  But...we did get a great one of the entire family - and some stinkin' cute pictures of the youngest kids.  And yes it helps when the entire family is gorgeous!

First Senior of the Class of 2012 - Downtown McKinney!

It is hard to believe that the time for the Class of 2012 senior photos has already arrived! I met with Chloe this week for her senior photos.  ADORABLE!  She is such a cute, laid back, and really fun girl.  I loved experimenting with her outfits and trying some new fun locations.  Here are a few of my favorites from the evening...

Chloe requested a shot in this window. If you only knew how high off the ground she was and how narrow the ledge is!  She is one brave cookie!

Fun Sisters in Downtown McKinney {McKinney, Frisco Photographer}

Have you ever seen the movie "Holiday Inn"?  There is a scene at the beginning of the movie where two sisters do a musical number all about sisters.  If you haven't seen it and you are a sister, you simply must watch it.  Maybe it is me being nostalgic, but that song kept going through my head during this photo shoot.  My sister and I have sung it to each other many times through the years and it somehow just sticks. Anyway, I had a great time with these sisters last week.  I bet growing up in their home was crazy with 4 girls that close in age, but as adults, sisters are the best friend you can have!

And they convinced mom to jump in one picture.  So glad they did!
