Meet Samantha, the first of my 2011 Senior Reps. She will be graduating with the Class of 2011 from Allen High. I had such a great time with this beautiful young lady. She was a photographers dream. She is a natural in front of the camera - and best of all, she came armed with fabulous clothes, a box of shoes, and all of the accessories. Now that is a girl after my own heart! We just switched out shoes and rings and tops as we felt like it through the session. So much fun! If you are a senior at Allen High School this year, find Samantha, get her rep card, and bring it to me when you schedule your session. My reps are the keys to the goodies!
I had too many pictures to choose from, so I just had fun with this sneak peak. I hope you love your pictures Samantha. The camera loves you!
I wanted to end with a couple of pictures with a retro finish on them...

Downtown McKinney Senior Pictures
So downtown McKinney is one of my all time favorite places to take pictures of seniors. I just realized that I have been so busy, there are quite a few sessions I never posted sneak peaks for. While they have long seen their pictures, I wanted to post a few of my past sessions. I love taking pictures of the senior guys because I love to see the relief wash over their faces when I tell them that they don't have to smile. Then I let them know we need a few smiles for mom - but it is ok to take pictures looking like a magazine ad - serious looks and all. They like that and I find the smiles I get tend to be geniune. Glad I have boys at home...it helps me understand them and what makes them tick! These were pictures from two recent sessions. Gotta love downtown - it is just made for guy pictures!
A Beautiful Morning at the Park {McKinney, Allen Photographer}
On Friday morning I enjoyed meeting a lovely young lady. Miss M. needed some updated photos of herself. When I asked her why she wanted them, she told me that she didn't really have any pictures that she liked. We had a wonderful time at my favorite park and I would say that she should have plenty of photos to choose from. Miss M. is beautiful inside and out and I am so blessed to have spent some time with her.

A Day at the Tracks {Frisco, Plano Photographer}
Last week I thoroughly enjoyed myself with the "B" family. They told me they were artsy and willing to try anything different for their pictures. What a photographer's dream! We took a few traditional shots, but of course I am not choosing to show those here. We spent alot of time playing and having fun with different settings and using the elements of the location we chose for the pictures. Here was the craziest part of the session: it was at least 100 degrees outside and I was so hot I had sweat literally dripping in my eyes. This family was dressed in jeans, boots, and long sleeves; the girls had long thick hair; and at the end of the session they all looked as fresh as when they arrived. CRAZY! I don't know how they pulled that off, but somehow they did. We had fun together and I think it shows!
Wait until you see the last picture. I have to say for the record that the sky in that picture is really the sky that was there that night. That is not a faked photo-shopped sky. I think it is one of the most stunning skies ever!

Kid's Day in McKinney
Last night I had a great time taking pictures at the Pinnacle Eye Associates annual Kid's Day. Radio Disney was there, Sidekicks Marshall Arts did demonstrations, Hula Hoop contests were in full swing, and lots of sponsors provided cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, crafts, cookies, etc. I thought I would put a few of the fun shots I took on my blog. Thank you Dr. Alfieri for asking me to take pictures. It was a blast! (And if you live in the McKinney area...go and see Dr. Alfieri at Pinnacle Eye Associates and try a free class at Sidekicks Marshall Arts. They are top notch businesses and will give you great service)
Oh...the theme was Alice in Wonderland. I thought that might explain the costumes the Dr. and her staff are wearing in the last picture. :-)

Sweet Baby Joshua
I have once again lagged behind on my blog posting. I somehow contracted a very severe eye infection which kept me from doing any photo sessions or editing for two weeks. Now I am playing catch up on my sessions and the blog seems to be falling more and more behind. I took these pictures of sweet baby Joshua last week. I have to say he was the easiest baby I have ever photographed. He went to sleep and that was it. He didn't care where I put him or how I moved him. If he started to wake up, all I had to do was stroke his little head and he went right back to sleep. His mom provided a beautiful room for him. I could have spent hours there taking pictures in different settings, but, alas...he finally did wake up. These were my favorites....

The W Family in Downtown McKinney {McKinney, Allen photographer}
Earlier this week, I had a wonderful time with the "W" family in downtown McKinney. First...downtown McKinney is hands down my favorite location to take photos. Second...being a mom of two boys, I love to work with families of boys. I guess I just relate to them and I enjoy hanging out with them. Third...the youngest boy is a classmate of my son. When I already know a family a little bit, it is much more fun to do the pictures. We had a great time together. The boys are respectful and nice, they had great ideas, and they went with the flow. Kudos mom and dad on raising great kids!
I decided to go a little vintage with most of the pictures for this blog. The backgrounds and textures of the old buildings just seemed to call out for a more muted, vintage tone.
